Biography June Liggins is a dynamic speaker, trainer, and consultant with more than 15-years experience in the areas of personal and leadership development. With passion, enthusiasm, and candor, she encourages her audience to overcome fear with courage, hopelessness with joy, and to identify and pursue their purpose. She is also the principal consultant for JM Consulting Group. |
June began perfecting her skills while serving as a leadership development Instructor in the U.S. Air Force. She presented topics such as communication strategies, problem solving, principles of leadership, total quality management, and team development to participants of various ranks, backgrounds, and cultures.
In her 10-years with the city of Phoenix, she developed numerous training programs and provided consultation services for three departments impacting the professional development of more than 1500 employees. She's also designed and presented training programs for Phoenix's 1.5 million residents and facilitated focus groups employing various conflict resolution and strategic planning skills.
June Liggins is also a license minister who has served the church in many capacities over the last 19-years. She's facilitated and participated in ministry/leadership training, marriage conferences, women's symposiums and meetings, and teambuilding summits. June has also spoken at success and leadership conferences and conducted live radio broadcasts. Through the years, she's also served in various advisory and leadership positions. As a member of Word of Abundant Life Christian Center, she serves as a board member and Administrative Director.
| Knowing that she was equipped and developed to do much more, June and her husband began the Center of Distinction for Personal Growth in 2005. This ministry was established to help individuals discover, appreciate, and develop the distinctive person God created them to be. The Center of Distinction also seeks to illuminate the minds of people with knowledge and insight that will help them uproot thought patterns that prevent them from realizing their full potential. She's also the author of Coconut Run Dun-Inspirational Writings to Help Renew the Passion and Purpose in us all. |
June has a Bachelor's degree in Management and Theology, an Associate's degrees in Instructor Technology, Personnel Administration, and General Studies. She is a member of the International Association of Facilitators, American Society for Training and Development, and the National Forum for Public Black Administrators.
June is married to Ron Liggins, a professional drummer and consultant. They have a joyful and intelligent daughter by the name Monique.
